SUMMARY:Historic Northwest Martin County Sites Tour
DESCRIPTION:“Historic Northwest Martin County Sites Tour”.   \nSpend the day\, Saturday October 19\, 2024\, visiting a select group of historic homes\, churches and sites representing a slice of Martin County’s unique culture and history.   \nThis specially designed tour starts at the First Christian Church in Oak City\, where tickets may be purchased for the nominal sum of $5 per person with refreshments provided.  \nFeatured on the tour are 14 sites. Most of these will provide access inside buildings; however\, a few will be limited to grounds only viewing. \nOnce you’ve purchased your ticket and received your map\, you may take the tour on any course at your leisure.  Tour time is 10 am until 5 pm. Attendants should be available at each site to direct and answer questions.  Please be vigilant and respectful of our fine property owners\, who have so graciously agreed to participate in this occasion. \nA small guide and/or souvenir booklet\, documenting sites on the tour\, will also be available for a nominal charge\, when purchasing your ticket. \nPlease enjoy this opportunity for celebrating Martin County’s 250th anniversary. \nSponsored in part by Martin County’s 250th Committee and the Martin County Tourism Development Authority\, proceeds for this event support the continued work of the Martin County Historical Society.
