DESCRIPTION:Opening Day is almost here! Williamston Parks & Recreation is excited to kick off the 2026 Softball Season on Saturday\, April 25th\, at 10 AM. All teams should arrive by 9:30 AM. There’s a full day of softball ahead with 8U and 12U teams\, and each team will be playing two games—so come out and enjoy a great day at the fields! To start the season\, Coach William Johnson will throw out the ceremonial first pitch. Coach Johnson has dedicated decades to the youth of Martin County through coaching\, teaching\, serving on the Parks & Recreation board\, and working within the department. The community is proud to recognize his commitment and impact in the region. Sno-Time Shaved Ice will be on site for Opening Day\, and the concession stand will be serving sausage dogs\, hot dogs\, pizza\, candy\, and drinks. Come out\, support the teams\, and help celebrate Opening Day!\n\n
