SUMMARY:Martin County Revolutionary Roots Exhibit Opening Day
DESCRIPTION:Join the Martin County 250th & Artifacts Committee in opening a Revolutionary Roots Exhibit\, featuring a representation of Martin County’s connection to the Edenton Tea Party and historical signage on many local figures and stories rooted in the foundation of America and Martin County. There will be light snacks prepared by local high school culinary students and giveaways for attendees. The exhibit will remain open for the remainder of the year at the tourism welcome center. \n  \n\n\n\n\n\nYou are invited!\n \nWHAT: Opening of the Martin County Revolutionary Roots Exhibit\nWHEN: January 29th from 5pm to 6:30pm (floating) – RIBBON CUTTING at 5pm\nWHERE: Tourism Welcome Center located on the side of the NC Telecenter (415 East Blvd)\n\nWhat to expect?\nYou will be transformed into a replica room of the 1774 Edenton Tea Party signing. You will see informational signage\, uniforms\, furniture\, artifacts\, all commemorating the revolutionary period in our area. Martin County Schools Culinary students will be serving snacks and the local Historical Society and Artifacts Committee will be on hand to answer questions.\n\nPlease spread the word!\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThanks to the Martin County America 250th Designated Committee\, Martin County Historical Artifacts Committee\, TDA\, and America 250.\n\nThis project was supported through a grant from America 250 NC\, a program of the NC Department of Natural and Cultural Resources.
