Parmele Day 2025

Join the Town of Parmele for this annual event celebrating the biggest little town in Martin County on Saturday, November 1st! ***The October 11th date was rescheduled due to heavy rainfall; the new date is November 1st!*** Hope to see you there on this fun-filled day! Saturday, November 1, 2025 – Here is a snippet of the day’s activities:
The Day Event and Entertainment will be held at the Town Commons (Caboose area). The closest address is the Maintenance building, 1090 Carr Lane, Parmele, NC 27861 (GPS may identify the location as Robersonville, NC 27871). The event and entertainment are as follows:
  • Vendor set up can begin as early as 7:00 a.m. Generally, vendors will arrive around 8:00 a.m./8:30 a.m. and be prepared for the parade at 10:00 a.m. A vendor application and $35 fee must be completed and will be accepted on site via cash, money order, or check. Vendor spaces are on a first-come, first-served basis; only prepaid vendors will have reserved locations. Food trucks will occupy North Main Street close to the Town Commons (Caboose area). Commissioner Elinda McCray (festival chairperson) will direct all vendors and food trucks to their designated area. Her cell phone number is: 252-814-1354.
  • 9:00 a.m. Parade line up on Church Street (NO LONGER AT OLIVE BRANCH CHURCH) and begin at 10:00 a.m. See attached Parade Directions and Instructions. Candies will not be disseminated during the parade.
  • The opening ceremony will begin at 11:00 a.m. (include recognition of elected officials and other special guests, greetings, festival directives). Entertainment will begin at 11:30 a.m.
  • ENTERTAINMENT: 11:30 am to 12:30 pm – The Watchmen Duo of Raleigh, NC. They specialize in “Americana Music” (Country, Bluegrass, R&B, Jazz, Soul, Gospel, all genres). 12:45 pm to 1:45 pm – George Dickens and TGD of Oak City, NC (Black gospel Quartet).
  • Raffle drawing at 2:00 pm – tickets are $5 each and can be purchased on site until 1:00 pm. 1st prize – overnight stay with dinner for 2 at the Sheraton Hotel Downtown Raleigh; 2nd prize – 55″ Samsung TV; 3rd prize – $50 gas card.
  • Free giveaways for adults and kids, free raffle for kids, and more!
  • The event tenure is from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm.
  • Admission and Parking are free.

PARMELE DAY PARADE – DIRECTIONS AND INSTRUCTIONS

Saturday, November 1, 2025

The parade lineup will begin at 9:00 a.m. and start at 10:00 a.m. The route is as follows:

  • Will begin at the old playground – the corner of Church Street and Staton Road (where the picnic table and canopy was). 
  • It will then turn left and proceed onto Jones Road extension; 
  • will turn left and cross the Railroad track onto North Main Street and continue past the Caboose; 
  • will turn left onto Coburn Lane, then another immediate left onto Carr Lane.
  • It will end in front of the Maintenance building (1090 Carr Lane) or at the corner of Carr Lane and WC Chance Blvd.

VEHICLES PARTICIPATING IN THE PARADE

Those vehicles participating in the parade (cars, floats, etc) should enter Timberlake Blvd. (Highway 64-Alt) onto WC Chance Blvd. and go to the end of the road, turn left onto Staton Road, and cross the railroad tracks. The line-up will begin on Church Street (NOT OLIVE BRANCH CHURCH PARKING LOT). The parade will end on Carr Lane. Vehicles can then proceed to the end of Carr Lane, turn right onto WC Chance Blvd., then turn right onto Timberlake Blvd. (Highway 64-Alt), go to the Caution light, and turn right onto North Main Street and proceed to the festival parking area on the left. A Parking Attendant will be there for guidance. 

INDIVIDUALS MARCHING IN THE PARADE AND PARKING FOR THEIR VEHICLES

Those marching in the parade who need to park their vehicles they will need to park in the open lot directly across from the Maintenance Building (1090 Carr Lane). To access the parking area, they can come from Timberlake Blvd. (Highway 64-Alt) to the caution light and turn onto N. Main Street; turn right onto Coburn Lane (the first road on the right), then immediate left onto Carr Lane. Park in the open lot directly across from the Maintenance Building (metal structure). A parking attendant will be there to give guidance to the open lot. 

After parking, they can proceed to walk to the end of Carr Lane and turn left onto WC Chance Blvd., then turn left onto Staton Road and cross the railroad tracks; then turn left onto Church Street (parade line-up location). After the parade ends for this group, they will march back to their parked vehicles. To return home, go to the end of Carr Lane and turn right onto WC Chance Blvd. At the Stop sign, turn left onto Timberlake Blvd (Highway 64-Alt) to go towards Bethel/Greenville/Tarboro/Rocky Mount or turn right to go towards Robersonville/Everetts/Williamston/Windsor.
