Hanging out at the Martin County Fair

Saturday February 16 2017 was a perfect day for a trip to the 2017 Martin County Fair in Stuart, Florida! The south Florida weather was great so we decided to head up to the fair and experience some Martin County fun. Parking and traffic control for the event was great as the Martin County Sherrif's Department does a very nice job helping keep Old Dixie Highway safe and easy to navigate while parking right across from the fairgrounds. Entry to the fair only costs $10 per person which is a very low price to pay for the fun and entertainment waiting inside. The Martin County Fair this year offers visitors all kinds of great activities from live animal shows to some great carnival style rides and food. Smells of the usual carnival foods like cotton candy, funnel cakes, candy apples, corn dogs and more filled the air making it impossible to pass without sampling! Lots of shaded seating areas offered a nice spot to enjoy your favorite fair foods. Live entertainment including alligator shows, camel rides and robot battles provided hours of fun. There is even a live exotic tiger show at this year's Martin County Fair featuring more than 8 tigers!

The fair also features a large agricultural exhibit with cows, pigs, goats, sheep and more. Large displays give visitors an education about agriculture and farming in Martin County. This mostly covered area also feature many local business and retailers a chance to show off products and services offered to Martin County and many were offering free samples, gifts and information about their services.

The 2017 Martin County Fair was a very nice way to spend a Saturday afternoon!
